Main Objective:

The main goal of accessibility testing is to identify and fix any barriers that may prevent people with special needs from using the software.

In Scope:
The scope of accessibility testing includes checking the software’s compatibility with various assistive technologies, such as screen readers, magnifiers, and voice recognition software.

This testing also involves evaluating the software’s usability with alternative input devices, such as keyboards or joysticks, for people who cannot use a mouse.

How To:
Accessibility testing involves a variety of testing techniques, such as manual testing and automated testing, to verify that the software is compliant with accessibility standards and guidelines, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for web applications.

WCAG 2.2 is going to be released in April 2023.

By performing accessibility testing, software development teams can ensure that their software is inclusive and accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities.

Legal & Compliance :
This can help companies meet legal requirements and improve their reputation by demonstrating their commitment to accessibility and social responsibility.
