How To Update Your Resume As A Professional?

Many people ask me this question how do we update our resume? Well, the technique is simple and easy to remember. With every job you apply to, you should customize your resume.

Customization improves your chances of getting shortlisted for the interview. Based on my experience, let me share some tips with you to implement every time you think of updating your resume.

Let’s start with the very first step in this journey :

Re-read the job description. Yes, you are right there I have used ‘re-read’ because many times, it has been observed that we quickly read the job description and apply immediately without noticing the keywords being used in the job description.

1. We must observe what are the key requirements stated in the job description. And, if you have worked or have exposure to those tools & techniques, you can make a note of them so that later you can update your resume accordingly.
2. Remember that, one resume does not fit everywhere.

4. Use keywords in your resume and highlight them where you think it is necessary. But, DO NOT highlight all the lines ( not recommended).
